Marshfield Fair shift schedule/info for 4H kids and parents

This year's shifts are listed below.  We would like each 4Her to do one of each shift for a total of four shifts.  There is an overlap of 15 minutes between shifts.  During the overlap each group will meet with the next group arriving so they can go over what went on during the shift.  You will need to sign out with the parent on duty before you leave.

  • Shift 1 ~  8:00a-11:30a   Breakfast shift
  • Shift 2 ~ 11:15a-2:00p    Lunch shift
  • Shift 3 ~ 1:45p-5:00p      Snack shift
  • Shift 4 ~ 4:45p-10:00p    Dinner shift

We would like to have 4 kids and 2 parents per shift.  Sign ups will start at Saturday's barn meeting.  A sample schedule is attached.  Please look at the fair schedule in advance so you do not sign up for a shift during your show or achievements.  Also be sure to check with your parents to make sure you can get to the shift or don't have another conflict.

If you are unable to attend Saturday's barn meeting, you can email your requested shifts by replying to this email.  These requests will be filled in after Saturday's meeting.

If you sign up for a shift and can not make it, you should try to cover the shift and let Courtney, Jim or Susan know who the replacement is.  If you can not find a replacement we still need to know that you will not be there.

The schedule will be posted on the blog.  Also it will be available at the fair once it is completed.

Below are some of the show dates.  However, there may be additional times and dates depending on what you have signed up for.  Please check the fair handbook or website at http://www.marshfieldfair.org/book.htm.

  • Dairy show Aug 22 12p
  • Sheep show Aug 20 12p
  • Beef show Aug 28 3p
  • Goat show Aug 24 12p and 2p
  • Camelids show Aug 23 3p
  • Quiz bowl Aug 29 10a

Thanks for all your hard work.

Susan, Big Jim and Courtney
